I thought it would be legal in Canada by now but are

Unfortunately on France it is totally illegal, but I
would say it also depends on the cop who caught you :
he can just take your stuff away and give kinda like a
"warning" or, he could send you spend a night or two in
jail for some hum tchating lets say ^^
